She nodded "I understand what you mean..." her voice trailed off and she scuffed at the ground with her heel. Fang smiled playfully "You dont fool me, that isnt all that bothers you this night." She glanced back at him and scanned his face for any answers.

A loud CRASH brought a ringing sound to his ears as a neon green hedgehog tumbled out of bed in the middle of the night. The creature let out a groan, the bright red goggles over his head now askew, one of them half over his eye, the other one resting on the top of his ear. Sighing, he readjusted them and, placing his hand on the top of his bed, pulled himself to his feet.
The hedgehog staggered over to his dresser, threw it open, and searched through it, half-awake as he did so. Finally finding a tattered old bath robe, he closed the doors and threw the robe over his chest, smiling at the sudden rush of warmth it emmited.
He left his room with a yawn, sliding down the stairs using the back of his heel, not caring about the pain. He hopped over the last step and stumbled into the antechamber, grabbing the handle of the front door to stop himself from careening into the wall. Cursing at his clumsiness, he turned the knob and let himself slide outside, quietly shutting the door behind him. Out in the field, he spotted two figures sitting together through the grass.
Raising an eyebrow, Lightning started his way into the ocean of greens and crops, pulling strands of plants out of the way as he went. It took him a good five minutes to reach the couple, though it didn't seem to bother him, only a few cuts on his face revealed any trace of his journey from the inn. A few droplets of blood escaped these wounds, staining his neon flesh with the liquid of life that was slowly escaping his body.
He stumbled over a final bush into the clearing, his eyes quickly noticing Nathron and another figure - a female, of whom he had never been acquainted. Curious, he strode towards them, his hands deep in the pockets of his make-shift trenchcoat.
"Good evening," he greeted them kindly, managing a small smile to play onto his lips. "Who's this, Nath?"

"No, that's not all, but what else is, I'm not sure of my self." He looked back at her. He didn't know how she knew that, but didn't press the matter. He pulled at the grass. He had many nervous habbits, even he couldn't count them.

Nathron shot to his feet and turned. He let out a sigh "It's only you Light... you gave me a shock." He said, the introduced Fang "This is Fang. I found her this afternoon, her driver was murdered by... the.. coyotes." He said with a hint of sadness on his voice.

Lightning only nodded, sorrow building inside of him. A firece memory of Sharp, Cyber, and Jedi's deaths flashed into his mind. He knew the feeling.
"I'm so sorry," he said, kneeling down next to Fang. "If there's anything I can do, please tell me. I'm Lightning Bolt..nice to meet you."

"He was a brute, he got what was coming to him." He sat back down and turned to Fang, "I just hope that's how you really feel." He looked up at the sky and at the moon. He felt restless. He moved around a lot. He looked over at Light and turned his head toward the full moon - hoping he would understand his restlessness. He always did.

Cursing softly to himself, Lightning concentrated - Max's telepathy lessons might finally come in handy.
Nath..did you take your potion? he asked into his friend's mind.

((OoC: way to throw HP into the mix... lol))
Nathron was startled by the voice in his head. He relaxed and realized it was Light. He never tried before, but he was sure it must be easier then the change he had to endure. He focused his energy and spoke back. I ran earlier, but my body is still fighting sleep. No, I didn't take that potion. I figured I'd just change and endure whatever I may kill. Lucky I wasn't hungry when Istumbled across Fang. He waited for a responce from Light, indicating it worked.

Be careful, then, Nath.. you never know what a cornerned beast might do. Lightning warned, sternness in his eyes as he said this.

Nathron dropped his head, the full blow of his actions finally catching up. If was ruthless of him. He could have killed someone. The real reason he didn't take the potion he would never say. My actions on this night were reckless, and I understand that. It was stupid. He felt like a child talking to a teacher who had just caught him in the act.

Fang turned her head to see a peculiar looking hedgehog, a lime green one mind you, kneeling down beside her. "Nice,... to meet you too." she spoke quietly, staring out across the field. The two men, Nathron and Lightning, soon engaged in conversation. She nodded her head once when she had been spoken too, 'I just hope that's how you really feel', although it wasn't what did it matter? The silence soon grew heavy and she silently stood, ready to take her leave.
